Chemical engineering research takes place within a highly collaborative cross-disciplinary research atmosphere. The Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Arts & Sciences and Agriculture, Food and Environment are within a 10-minute walk of the College of Engineering. Our faculty members also conduct research with the Center for Applied Energy Research, a nationally recognized leader in renewable energy solutions, as well as the Center of Membrane Sciences, UK Superfund Research Center, Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Innovation and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science.
Engineering Students Named Finalists at 5-Minunte Fast Track
The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) named its ten finalists in the 5-Minute Fast Track Competition last week. Among those, were Sydney Chapman, a senior, majoring in computer science and Ashbey Manning, a senior, majoring in chemical engineering.

David Lu Awarded 2023 Reclamation Fellowship for Membrane Technology
David Lu, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, has been selected for a 2023 Reclamation Fellowship for Membrane Technology from the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) and the Bureau of Reclamation.
