Rick Honaker, a professor in mining engineering, has received the 2024 Ivan B. Rahn Education Award from the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME).
The Ivan B. Rahn Education Award was established in 1995 and recognizes distinguished contributions to the educational activities within SME. It is open to all SME members who have shown long-term interest in and have significantly contributed to SME activities relating to ABET, student affairs, continuing education, professional registration, and/or the Council of Education.
The award will be presented to Honaker at the 2024 SME Annual Meeting in February 2024.
