Al-Bakri Wins Young Investigator Award

The American Epilepsy Society (AES) and the Scientific Program Committee has selected Amir Al-Bakri, a doctoral student in the F. Joseph Halcomb III, M.D. Department of Biomedical Engineering, as a winner of the 2017 Young Investigator Award.

The American Epilepsy Society (AES) and the Scientific Program Committee has selected Amir Al-Bakri, a doctoral student in the F. Joseph Halcomb III, M.D. Department of Biomedical Engineering, as a winner of the 2017 Young Investigator Award. The award recognizes 20 young investigators conducting basic, translational or clinical epilepsy research. His abstract “Detection of rhythmic high-frequency oscillations on surface EEG in patients with refractory epilepsy” was selected from over 1,300 submissions for the honor. He will be recognized at the 71st AES Annual Meeting, to be held December 1-5 in Washington, D.C.
