Research Description

The objectives of my research laboratory are to utilize small uncrewed aircraft for atmospheric research. Of primary interest are the characteristics of turbulence in the atmospheric boundary layer, which is coupled with fundamental turbulence research in laboratory wind tunnels. Also of interest is the use of uncrewed aircraft for additional scientific purposes including heritage science and environmental monitoring.

Research Interests

  • Wall-Bounded Flows
  • Atmospheric turbulence
  • Unsteady vortex flows and wake turbulence
  • Small-scale turbulence
  • Large-scale coherent structures
  • Development of experimental methods
