The BAE Academic Showcase is a competitive program that rewards well-rounded undergraduate and graduate students who excel in three equally weighted areas: 1) academic performance, 2) research and publishing, and 3) service and outreach.
Preference will be given to students who have shown a direct, positive impact on the department, for example, through participation in BAE activities and offices held. Students are strongly encouraged to apply for this award.

Award
Starting in 2022, the department was able to reward student award recipients with a plaque and a check. Student award winners will receive a monetary award in years that financial market conditions allow.
Awards Committee
To increase diversity on the committee, outside members, including alumni, university staff, and prior alumni award recipients, will be added to the awards committee.
Rubric for Evaluation
The awards are designed to reward well-rounded individuals who excel equally in academics, research/publishing, and service. Service within the department will be ranked more highly than service to the university, outside entities, etc. The awards committee will use a rubric to assist with evaluation of submissions.
Submissions
Instructions for submitting an application will be posted on this webpage later in the Fall 2022 academic semester. If you have immediate concerns, contact the Academic Showcase program manager, Karin Pekarchik.
