UK CS Students Earn Honors in Kentucky Academy of Science Student Competition

University of Kentucky computer science students excelled at the Kentucky Academy of Science Annual Meeting's Student Competition held November 2-3 at Western Kentucky University.

University of Kentucky computer science students excelled at the Kentucky Academy of Science Annual Meeting's Student Competition held November 2-3 at Western Kentucky University.

Brian Luciano won first place for his poster presentation in the Computer and Information Science category and Michael Murray and Kelsey Cole received first place in the Computer and Information Science Oral Presentation category.

In addition, Luke de Castro from Henry Clay High School earned second place for his poster presentation in the Computer and Information Science category.

Luciano is doing undergraduate research for assistant professor Simone Silvestri and de Castro is being mentored by professor Jurek Jaromczyk.
