A native of China, Mr. Wang graduated from University of Kentucky (“UK”) in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Finance degree and is expected to graduate in May 2020. His native fluency in both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese and deep familiarity with Asian history, people and culture make him an invaluable asset to the UK International Center recruitment team.

In 2010, Mr. Wang came to the United States at the age of 16. He studied in Philadelphia and Los Angeles during high school and chose Lexington as his second home. He graduated from UK with the benefit of scholarships from various sponsors. In Mr. Wang’s undergraduate years, he was deeply involved with international communities on campus and in the Lexington area. As a key member of the first cohort for the International Student Leadership Team, supervised by Karen Slaymaker and Seth Hall, he and the team were responsible for facilitating campus-wide international student orientations and organizing regular on-campus events and activities for all international students. He also joined the International Student Ambassadors program, supervised by Audra Cryder, which oversaw a team of 50+ international student ambassadors and assisted with international recruitment efforts.

After Mr. Wang Graduated from UK in 2017, he worked for Bluegrass International Fund as Director of Market Research and later transitioned to be Direct of Investor Relations. Mr. Wang primarily manages oversea relationships with immigration agencies, family offices and direct investors from China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), India, Middle East and Mexico. He plays an integral part in developing and implementing the company’s marketing and communication strategies.

Mr. Wang has a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking from UK and a certificate in Global Commerce and Strategy from the World Trade Center-Kentucky. He is a member of Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, and Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society. Mr. Wang is also a member of the Ignite Louisville Class of Spring 2018 under the Leadership Louisville Center.
