Call for Abstracts: Emerging Researcher Showcase

The Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing at the University of Kentucky is accepting abstracts from tenure-track Assistant Professors for the ‘Emerging Researcher Showcase’ in the 7th International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing (IFSM) scheduled to be held on October 27-28, 2022 at the Woodward Hall in the Gatton College of Business & Economics, the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.

Organized by the University of Kentucky, this year’s event will bring together nationally and internationally known experts in sustainable manufacturing from industry, academia, and federal agencies to examine advances in sustainable manufacturing at the product, process, and systems (including supply-chain) levels. This highly focused event will provide a unique opportunity to foster close interactions and communication between academic researchers, industry professionals and students engaged in research and promoting the practice of sustainable manufacturing.

This year’s theme for the IFSM is ‘Sustainable Manufacturing in the Industry 4.0’. As in previous years, we invite tenure-track Assistant Professors engaged in research on related topics to submit abstract for the ‘Emerging Researcher Showcase’. Travel expenses (registration, hotel, and travel expenses) up to $1,200 will be covered for those selected to present through a National Science Foundation grant. Applicants must be affiliated with a university in the United States to be eligible to receive this award. Post-doctoral researchers and other early-career research professionals are also encouraged to apply and will be offered travel grants based on the availability of funds.

The deadline to submit the abstract is March 14, 2022.

Call for Abstracts: Student Poster Showcase

The Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing at the University of Kentucky is accepting abstracts from Undergraduate and Graduate Researchers for the student research poster showcase at the 7th International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing (IFSM) scheduled to be held on October 27-28, 2022 at the Woodward Hall in the Gatton College of Business & Economics, the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.

The event will bring together nationally and internationally known experts in sustainable manufacturing from industry, academia, and federal agencies to examine advances in sustainable manufacturing at the product, process, and systems (including supply-chain) levels. This highly focused event will provide a unique opportunity to foster close interactions and communication between academic researchers, industry professionals, and students engaged in research and promoting the practice of sustainable manufacturing.
