Lara Larson

Biosystems Engineering

What happens when a leading pharmaceutical company expands their manufacturing capacity? Lara Larson learned exactly that at her summer internship with Pfizer in Rocky Mount, NC. While assisting with the tech transfer into the new facility, she cultivated her network with Pfizer professionals across the globe and enhanced her classroom education with real workplace experience.

Katye Berry

Biosystems Engineering
Class of 2023

During her internship as an environmental student engineer, Katye reviewed military construction reports, assisted with formerly used defense site projects, and collected samples to monitor environmental contaminants, while working alongside senior level staff who helped her grow professionally.

Rebecca Deason

Biosystems Engineering
Class of 2023

Rebecca served in the component engineering department as an aerospace/mechanical engineering intern with United Airlines. Her work involved creating engineering repair authorizations for mechanics and analyzing purchasing and investment opportunities for aircraft repair equipment. She experienced on-the-job training, mentorship, and team-building activities.

During her internship, Ashlee worked as a Project Engineer Intern learning about the distillation process in the beverage industry. She conducted a mass and energy balance analysis of the entire distillery process and provided troubleshooting on issues as they arose.
