Amanda is a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in biomedical engineering. Amanda was an intern at the Northern Kentucky Makerspace where she served as an ambassador for the inaugural Northern Kentucky World Maker & Inventor Expo. Amanda feels strongly about exposing females to engineering and getting them involved in all the field has to offer. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and participated in the 11th Annual Kentucky Girls STEM Conference panel as a collegiate representative. Currently, Amanda is a TA for first-year engineering courses and is involved in the Educational Research Program, in collaboration with Project Carat, focused on redesign and reuse of assistive technology. Amanda is very excited to be an engineering ambassador and looks forward to sharing her excitement for engineering with others. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends.
