We want to give you the extra edge you need to succeed! The College of Engineering awards scholarships to freshmen, continuing and transfer students. Most engineering scholarships are partial awards ranging from $500.00 to $5000.00 per year and the average first year scholarship ranges from $1500.00 to $3000.00.
Ernest B. Ellis Foundation Honor Loan
Honor loans are awarded on a semester to semester basis and undergraduate students must reapply each semester to be reconsidered during each awarding cycle. Each semester, students are typically awarded between $1000.00 to $2500.00 based on severity of financial need and academic progress.
Varying types of graduate student aid are available from both the college as well as your specific department. Please contact your specific department within the College of Engineering regarding fellowships or Ms. Monica Mehanna regarding college wide funding for engineering graduate students.
Numerous scholarships are available for our students from outside organizations dedicated to helping promote engineering and STEM disciplines. Our on campus external scholarships office is available to aid students in their search for funding and is primarily responsible for administrating the campus nomination process for major awards that require institutional endorsement. This office handles funding for both undergraduates and undergraduates. www.uky.edu/externalscholarships
