About GradSWE

GradSWE is a student organization at the University of Kentucky affiliated with the national chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). While we share similar goals to the undergraduate SWE section established on campus, we strive to meet the specific needs of graduate students. We serve as a support system for hard-working graduate students and are committed to their academic and professional development. We are gender-inclusive and we welcome both students as well as faculty members at all of our events.

Our Mission:

• Providing infrastructure for graduate student involvement in SWE,
• Providing the opportunities to attend the annual national conference tailored to the needs of graduate students,
• Contributing and creating resources necessary for successfully navigating grad school,
• Providing a safe space to discuss identities, workplace stereotypes, biases, and gender issues.

Get involved:

• Become a member of UK's student chapter of GradSWE on BBNvolved.
• Register as a GradSWE Collegiate Member. This is one of the best ways to get involved with the network of the national SWE as well as SWE professionals.
• Come talk to one of us!
