Apply to the Graduate Program

Admission to the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Graduate Programs requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a GPA of at least a 3.0/4.0 on all graduate and undergraduate work. The GRE will no longer be required starting Fall 2024. If required, TOEFL scores of 80 (internet-based) 213 (computer based/550 (paper-based) will need to be submitted with the online application, a statement of purpose and contact information for three references. Applicants who intend to pursue graduate research activities (i.e. Ph.D. and M.Sc. Thesis applicants) are encouraged to apply before the Priority Deadline. Those who have applied by the Priority Deadline will be sent an application for the March Recruitment Weekend to tour research facilities and engage with potential research mentors.

Admission fees are waived for domestic students with a 3.5 GPA (Contact Hannah Tyler for a fee waiver).

Guaranteed funding for Ph.D. students for five years.

  • International Deadline - April 15, 2024
  • Domestic Deadline - July 26, 2024
  • Applicants for Readmission - July 26, 2024
  • Postbaccalaureate Student - August 12, 2024
  • University Scholars Program - August 12, 2024
