Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology research focuses on materials and devices at the scale of one-thousandth the size of a human hair for it. Applications of such devices include medical diagnostics, advanced digital cameras, programmable x-ray sources, optical data communications and clean energy generation from light harvesting bacteria. ECE nanotechnology researchers are fabricating and assembling electronics, sensors, and carbon nanotubes used in the power and energy, manufacturing and aerospace sectors.
