Capstone Senior Design Project Proposal Submissions - Mechanical, Materials, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Computer Science

Thank you for your interest in the College of Engineering Capstone Program. Please submit proposals by August 15th for projects starting in the fall semester and by January 7th for projects starting in the spring semester.

Mechanical Engineering Project Guidelines: Projects must include substantial design and conceptualization potential, not merely design changes of scale or duplication of existing systems.  Projects which have considerable design content are preferred.  Additionally, it must be possible to complete them within the two-semester timeframe.  The first semester will be design development and the second semester focuses on prototyping and testing of the design. Learn more about Mechanical Engineering Capstone Project Guidelines here.

Electrical and Computer Engineering Guidelines

Materials Engineering Project Guidelines: Projects typically involve failure analysis, material selection, material characterization, material process development, and/or material process improvement. These projects are conducted over the course of two semesters. Company sponsors are asked to contribute $4,000 towards project costs.
