The Young Alumni Philanthropy Council is now accepting applications for its 2021-2022 class. The council's mission is to inspire supporters to create a world that works by providing life-changing opportunities for future generations.

“Each member of the Young Alumni Philanthropy Council is an exceptional leader who will significantly influence the mission of the college,” said Rudy Buchheit, Dr. Rebecca Burchett Liebert Dean of the College of Engineering, when the application period opened. “I can’t wait to see what this powerful group of alumni will do.”

The inaugural class consisted of 24 alumni and is led by Michael Graehler Jr. (BSCE 2018). To join the Council, a prospective member must be under the age of 40 as of July 19, 2021; donate $1,000 to the college to be pooled together and given to the program(s) of choice as voted on by the Council; and mentor current engineering students or serve as alumni ambassadors. Members must also commit to attending the fall and spring meetings. The fall meeting is scheduled for October 22-24, 2021.

“There has never been a better way to give back to the college that gave us so much—and have fun with other engineers while doing it!” said Graehler.

The deadline for submitting applications is 11:59 p.m. on August 4, 2021. Apply here.
