Victoria Lasley, a graduate student working toward a master’s degree in civil engineering, placed third in the AFH10 Construction Management Committee’s poster competition at the 2019 Transportation Research Board’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. January 13-17, 2019. Her poster was titled “Redefining Construction As-Built Plans.”
Lasley’s poster was based on her master’s thesis “Redefining construction ‘as-built’ plans to meet current KYTC needs.” The work is funded by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
“Victoria’s work is critical for the management of transportation infrastructure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” said Lasley’s advisor, civil engineering associate professor Tim Taylor. “Her third place is even more impressive when you consider that the first and second place posters were presented by college professors.”
Lasley is also leading a related project funded by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program that is investigating As-Built practices across all 50 State Departments of Transportation.
