Virtual Demonstration of Smart Energy Technologies

This virtual demonstration presents multiple smart energy technologies within a fully simulated physics engine powered by the popular video game "Space Engineers." The technologies presented, which are utilized in today's smart grid, include solar tracking PV farms, large-scale wind turbines and even an electric city that exists within a simplified renewably powered microgrid. Students will learn about the advanced systems that are being incorporated into the electric power grid to make it smarter, more reliable, more renewable and incredibly efficient.
