Rising high school seniors from Kentucky are invited to apply for the University of Kentucky Engineering Dean’s Academy, where they will learn about our nine engineering majors, scholarships, co-ops and internships. Participants will take a UK campus tour, experience hands-on engineering activities, enjoy meals in campus dining facilities, spend the night in Woodland Glen III – home to the UK Engineering Living Learning Program – and learn firsthand what it’s like to be a UK Engineering student.
Dates: August 1-2, 2019
Location: Overnight accommodations in Engineering Living Learning Program, Woodland Glen III
Time: Drop-off begins at 8:00 AM on August 1; pickup begins at 5:00 PM on August 2
The following list are the requirements for a student to register for the 2019 Engineering Dean’s Academy:
- Must be a Kentucky resident
- Be a rising senior (graduating high school in 2020)
- SScore a minimum 31 ACT composite (1420 SAT) and 26 ACT math score (630 SAT) by the time of application
Students are registered based on SAT or ACT scores, academic grades from high school (cumulative GPA), and interest in engineering at the University of Kentucky.
The $75 registration fee covers the cost for registration, food, engineering activities, overnight accommodations, and special items for all participants. Each attendee must be registered to participate.
