Each year, since 2005, girls from all over Kentucky have visited the University of Kentucky-College of Engineering for a one day event to explore the fun behind STEM.
GEMS is a collaboration between the University of Kentucky-College of Engineering and the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council. GEMS is not only an opportunity for girls to gain hands on experience from local STEM related experts in their field, most workshops are facilitated by women mentors.
