Example Simulation Snapshot

Snapshot of the configuration of a self-assembled pair of helical micelles formed by confinement of a concentrated surfactant solution inside of a cylindrical cavity. The micelles are modeled as beads on a lattice with nearest-neighbor interactions. In the image, yellow beads are hydrophobic heads and the blue lines are hydrophilic tails. A square well potential was used for bead interactions. The box was completely filled with 60% surfactants consisting of 4 head and 4 tail beads, and 40% polar solvent (not shown). E/kT = -1/13 for this simulation where E is the attractive potential between "like" beads.
