Dr. Suresh KS Rajaputra
Dr. Suresh
Rajaputra obtained his B.Sc (1986), M.Sc (1988) and PhD (1996) from Osmania
University, Hyderabad, India. His PhD thesis title was "Structure-Property
Correlations in some magnetically ordered Aurivillius Phases". He worked
at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, Indian Institute of Science
and Jawaharlal
Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, India on
various aspects of oxide materials which include structure, ferroelectric,
magnetic and magneto-transport properties, magnetoelectric composites, charge
ordering, metal-insulator transitions and Colossal Magnetoresistance, ordered
double perovskites and their structure-property correlations.
Presently he is
working as a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Micro-Magnetic and
Electronic Devices (CMMED), Department of Electrical & Computer
Engineering, University of Kentucky. His recent work has focused on fabrication
and characterization of nano-porous films, nano wires and nano fibers and their
applications in sensors and devices.
Dr.Rajaputra's
research interests include nano-crystalline and nano-porous materials, sensors,
magnetic, ferro-electric ceramic oxides, composites and their structure-property
correlations, size effects in magnetic oxides. Apart from his research in to
nano scale materials, he is also involved in project planning, implementation,
grant proposal writing and helping the Director, CMMED, in the day to day
operations of the center.
