The specific topics that will be covered include (but are not limited to) the following:
new theoretical developments and numerical simulations of light scattering by
nonspherical particles and particles with complex internal structure;
laboratory and field experiments in light scattering by natural and artificial
particles;
single and multiple light scattering by dust grains and aerosols in terrestrial
and planetary atmospheres (including exoplanets) and various cosmic objects;
applications of light scattering in remote sensing, particle detection, and
laboratory and field particle characterization;
applications of light scattering methods in biology and biomedicine;
light scattering methods to control material properties in chemical and material science experiments and in technological processes.
