Tasks
1-14-99: Email address and MATLAB visualization. V1: Generate and Plot a uniformly distributed sequence of numbers. Each number is between -1 and 1. The total length of the sequence is 256. Due 1-21-99.
1-21-99: Task 2 handout, Due 1-28-99.
1-28-99 Task 3 handout, find and compare spectra of bckgrnd.wav,pipe1.wav, pipe2.wav and pipe3.wav.
2-4-99 Task 4 handout, analyze the noise power spectral density for the four noise recordings.
2-11-99 Task 5 handout, use the noise PSD estimates from Task 4 and generate new noise sequences and put into the WAV format.
2-18-99 Task 6 handout. Organize into groups of about 4 people. Informally present a possible electronic implementation of the noise physical model.
3-23-99 Task 7 handout. Begin modeling the receiver correlator. Propose an experiment for determining the speed of sound through a solid medium such as flooring material.
4-13-99 Task 8 handout: Build dual amplifiers and measure gain. Demonstrate and measure directionality of dual sensors with narrowband signal. Implement numerical model of correlator and compare with experimental results of implemented correlator.
