Dr. Heath received his Ph.D. degree from Auburn
University. His broad research interests are in the area
of computer engineering, software engineering, digital
signal processing, and machine vision and intelligence.
More specifically, his research activities are
concentrated in computer architecture; concurrent,
parallel, array, distributed, application specific, and
data driven architectures; digital system and computer
architecture design specification and verification via
formal methods and simulation; computer system resource
allocation algorithms; digital signal and image
processors; machine vision and intelligence and
supporting architectures; and operating systems and
systems software support for computer architectures.
