80 - 89 B
70 - 79 C
60 - 69 D
0 - 59 E

Each experiment report will be graded on a 100% scale by the lab instructor.

 

If an experiment has a prelab portion, the work is due at the beginning of the first lab period of your group for that experiment and will be counted as 20% of that experiment grade. If the prelab is not handed in at the beginning of the lab period, 10 % of the lab grade will be deducted for that experiment.

 

Each experiment report is due at the beginning of the first lab period meeting following the scheduled completion of the experiment. (Two exceptions will be explained during Experiment 2 - Orientation.)

 

Late prelab work or experiment reports will be penalized by 20% of the possible grade per calendar day or fraction thereof that the work is late.

 

Reporting format for experiments will be covered as part of Experiment #2 -Orientation.

 

Attendance is expected in the lab. An absence not explained, excused, and arranged for makeup in advance with either the professor or lab instructor will result in a zero grade for that missed experiment.

 

Tardiness of greater than 15 minutes will result in grade reduction for the experiment in proportion to the time missed.
