NEPAL--An algorithm for solving the volume integral equation

A new algorithm is proposed to solve the volume integral equation whereby the scatterer is first divided into N subscatterers. Smaller problems are nested within large problems using the Huygens' equivalence principle. The resultant algorithm has reduced computatonal complexity whose CPU time is proportional N*sqrt(N).
