Currently enrolled UK engineering students contact prospective female high school students to answer questions about the engineering program or about university life.

Community College Bridge Program

In response to the unique obstacles faced by female community college students, WIE is developing a bridge program with select community colleges in Kentucky to facilitate the transfer of female students into the UK College of Engineering. Workshops, peer e-mail mentoring, Sister SWE sections, and campus visits are components of this program.

High School Contact

The WIE Program Director communicates regularly with high schools around the state disseminating information on Women in Engineering. Teachers, counselors and other school officials are encouraged to contact the director with any and all questions or requests for information.
