Average Co-op Salaries

2016-2018 Average Co-op Pay

Below are the average, as well as high and low salaries for UK co-op students. Keep in mind that salaries often increase with progressive work sessions, so they might be lower in a first work session and higher in the last session. Startup or very small companies sometimes pay less than larger and highly profitable organizations, but offer benefits such as exposure to startup environments, business plan development and being on the "ground floor" of a new company.

Many employers work out a scale based on a combination of the number of work sessions completed and hours completed toward degree. This translates into raises as students progress through work sessions. Thus pay for the first work session of an ME might be $16.00 per hour, pay for the second work session $17.00, and for the final session $18.00. Some Employers help in varying degree with relocation expenses. Some pay as much as $1,000 to $2,500 in a single payment. Others subsidize an amount per month, or provide company housing.
