Fall Engineering Resumania in the Ralph G. Anderson Commons, September 11, 2014, 10 am to 2 pm
Every semester, employers volunteer their time to review student resumes and give students practice interviews to prepare them for the career fair. Our engineering Resumania event draws about 200 students, and it takes once per semester in the Ralph G. Anderson Bldg in UK’s College of Engineering. If you are an employer and are interested in participating in this event for a 2-hour shift, please contact Marsha Phillips at firstname.lastname@example.org or 859-257-8863.
University of Kentucky Employer Showcase (Career Fair) – September 23, 2014, 12-4 pm
The UK Employer Showcase is held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring semesters. The format is usually a two day fair, with the first day being dedicated to engineering/science/high tech and the other to non-profit, government and business.
The Career Fair provides an opportunity for engineering and computer science students of all classifications to meet with prospective employers to discuss employment trends and opportunities within specific industries, and to inquire about future co-op, internship, part-time, summer and full time employment.
Employers can register starting in late June or early July. If you want to ensure that you receive an invitation, please e-mail Ilka Balk.
Each fall, the Society of Women Engineers also hosts the Evening with Industry the evening before the career fair. This is an event exclusively for employers and graduating engineering seniors. This is a less formal venue to meet and greet graduating seniors who are looking for full time positions. For more information on our next Evening with Industry, please contact Kim Sayre, SWE advisor, at 859-257-3343.
First Ever Engineering Co-op and Internship Fair, October 8, 2014, 2-4:30 pm, Ralph G. Anderson Commons
For the first time this fall, The Engineering Career Development Office will host an engineering and internship fair to help employers who are primarily looking to hire co-ops or summer interns connect with engineering students. This event is held in conjunction with the College of Business’ internship fair, which will take place the morning of October 8. Employers wishing to register for both fairs will receive a discount. Regular registration for each event will be $100. Registration will go live later this summer. If you would like to ensure to receive an invitation, please e-mail Ilka Balk. Space will be extremely limited due to the size of the space available in the Gatton College of Business and Economics as well as in the Ralph G. Anderson Building.
