Can I repeat a course to improve my grade? Yes. A student has the option to repeat once as many as 3 different courses in which he/she received a grade of B, C, D, or E. This is called a Repeat Option. Only the grade, credit hours and quality points of the second completion will be used in calculating the GPA, provided the student has made a specific request through a Repeat Option form. A limit of three repeat options may be filed during your entire undergraduate career. The student must be enrolled at the time the repeat option form is filed. Ask your advisor for all the details regarding repeating a class. Note: Some departments limit the number of times you can enroll in or retake a course.
Contact your academic advisor to discuss this in more detail.
See “Academic Requirements” in the UK Bulletin for specific details about repeating a course and grade requirements.
