Incoming freshmen meet their advisors during orientation, and remain with them until the first two semesters are completed. Priority Registration (October and March) is the only time appointments are required; the rest of the semester just walk in.

Priority Registration appointments are made in person by coming to the third floor of RGAN (outside Room 381) and signing up in advance for an appointment date and time.

Students entering their sophomore year are assigned a faculty advisor by the Student Services Assistant and are instructed to make an appointment during Priority Registration with the assigned advisor, either through my UK or the availability schedule posted on that advisor’s office door. Students who are not sure who will be advising them are welcome to talk with the Student Assistant who can provide initial direction for curriculum courses the student will need and will direct the student to the advisor. No holds are lifted until the student has discussed his/her scheduled courses with the faculty advisor and written documentation of that is provided to the Student Services Assistant.
