Advising
We can help . . . . .
Consider us the St. Bernards of the College of Engineering. Our mission
is to guide incoming students, to direct and to rescue those already
climbing the slopes of the engineering curriculum.
We act as your guideposts for Admissions, Scholarships, Advising and
Registration, Records Information and Graduation. We want you to begin
your undergraduate journey informed and aware of the opportunities available
to you now and upon graduation.
Special programs provide support such as Minorities
in Engineering and
Women in Engineering. Free tutoring in math and the sciences and certain
engineering courses is offered twice a week. You are strongly encouraged
to investigate the opportunities available through our Cooperative
Education and the Career Assistance Programs.
We welcome you to our College of Engineering family. Let us help make
your climb to the top memorable; we want you to succeed.
The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Walk-ins are welcomed except during pre-registration,
and then appointments are necessary.
How Can I Get Help Paying For School?
Be sure to go to the Freshmen
Scholarships site, print and complete the application.
Fifty to sixty freshmen scholarships are awarded annually. The awards
are primarily based on ACT/SAT math scores, high school GPAs, activities,
and community service. These forms must be postmarked no later than
January 15, 2007. Don't procrastinate. Remember - you are a self-disciplined
individual.
Currently Enrolled Students:
What can be said to you veterans? You are successful survivors and
achievers. Please remember that we are still available to help you in
any way we can. Remember that the College of Engineering awards the
majority of its scholarship monies to our currently enrolled students.
You have proven yourselves and are an excellent investment. Go to the
Current Students Scholarships
site, print and complete the form. Applications must be postmarked no
later than April 15, 2007.
