The team has been hard at work on the chassis for Gato del Sol IV. Mechanical Systems Manager, Brian Passafiume, is leading the project. So far, all of the tubes have been cut, jigged, and prepared for final welding at Hydro Aluminum in Sidney, OH. Sometime in the next 2 weeks, the chassis on the new car will be completely finished.

Today, Jonathan from Precision Mechanical in Winchester came and tacked the tubes together using his TIG welding skills. Precision Mechanical has been fantastic and has donated water jet cutting of some large aluminum stock for our wheels, as well as the welding today.
