The Solar Car will be outside Memorial Coliseum for the interested public to see before and after Mr. Kennedy's lecture. Mr. Kennedy will deliver "Our Environmental Destiny" with a book signing afterward.

The Solar car will be on display in the engineering courtyard between the Ralph G. Anderson building, and the F. Paul Anderson Tower during these times. Team members will be on hand to answer questions and go on short drives. This is part of the Big Blue Goes Green "Sustainability Showcase" that is occurring from September 14-25. Students of Jessica Bohannon at Rockcastle Middle School have been building miniature solar-powered cars for a project. The team will be bringing Gato del Sol III to show these students what a real solar powered car is. Also, we will be motivating students to study math and science in preparation to study engineering concepts. Events like these are the most important thing our team does! Children and especially those underprivileged in rural Kentucky have limited exposure to the wonders of solar technology. We are working to make Kentuckians more environmentally conscious in their daily lifestyles.

State of the University Address*
