The Dean’s Scholarships for Transfer Students
The Dean’s Scholarships for Transfer Students are used to support outstanding students as one of the elements necessary in our goal to maintain academic excellence. The University of Kentucky College of Engineering awards scholarships to incoming engineering students transferring from another college, community college, or university. Students from Kentucky Community and Technical College System institutions are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are available for students entering UK during both the fall and the spring semesters.
Candidates for these scholarships must submit:
- Transcript(s) from each school attended showing credits earned and classes taken through the current semester and cumulative grade point average. A minimum of 24 hours must be completed by the end of the current semester.
- Include one letter of recommendation from a math and/or science instructor at your current school.
- A carefully composed essay outlining your reasons for selecting engineering as a profession and what you hope to accomplish in your career.
Each applicant must satisfy all University of Kentucky requirements for entrance into a College of Engineering degree program before being considered for these scholarships. Transfer Student Scholarship Application (PDF) (online)
