Transfer Student Scholarships
The University of Kentucky
College of Engineering awards scholarships to incoming engineering students
transferring from another college, community college, or university.
The awards will be announced in early summer. Students from Kentucky
Community and Technical College System institutions are encouraged to
apply.
Candidates for these scholarships must submit:
- Transcript(s) from each school attended showing credits earned through the end of the Fall 2008 semester and cumulative grade point average. A minimum of 24 hours must be completed by the end of the Spring 2009 semester.
- Two letters of recommendation: one from a math or science instructor at your current school and one from another person who knows you well.
- A carefully composed essay outlining your reasons for selecting engineering as a profession and what you hope to accomplish in your career.
- DEADLINE: March 15 , 2009
Each applicant must satisfy all University of Kentucky requirements
for entrance into a College of Engineering degree program before being
considered for these scholarships. The Dean's Scholarships for Transfer
Students are used to support outstanding students as one of the elements
