Engineer's Day Open House 2009Engineers Day Open House 2009 is scheduled for Saturday, February 21! One Saturday a year, the doors to Crounse Hall are open to everyone for E-Day. This annual event is targeted to elementary, middle and high school students and attempts to build enthusiasm about the field of engineering. Throughout the day, several contests will take place to help build an understanding of what engineers do. Favorites are the egg drop competition and the popsicle-stick bridge competition. Some of these contests take preparation, while others, such as the edible car competition, can be prepared during the day. There are also facility tours and demonstrations on electricity, turbine engines, and more. Open House is held in conjunction with National Engineers Week, Feb. 15 - 21, 2009
