Dillon
receives ASME award
Dr. Oscar W. Dillon, professor emeritus in
the Department of Mechanical Engineering, is the recipient of the Applied
Mechanics Award from the Applied Mechanics Division of the American
Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
According to ASME, the award
is given annually "to an outstanding individual for significant contributions
in the practice of engineering mechanics; contributions may result from
innovation, research, design, leadership or education."
The award will be presented
at the Applied Mechanics Annual Dinner November 13 in Seattle, as part
of the ASME
Congress November 11-15.
