Himanshu Thapliyal, associate professor and Endowed Robley D. Evans Faculty Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has received a 2020 Mid-Career Research Achievement Award from the Technical Committee on Very Large Scale Integration (TCVLSI) of the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS), which addresses the interactions among the various aspects of VLSI design including system-level design, logic-level design, circuit-level design, and semiconductor processes.
Eligible candidates must have evidence of strong publications in premier IEEE periodicals related to VLSI (or equivalent area) consistently for a period of at least five years, as well as high-quality overall research for a period of at least ten years, all obtained through independently led research.
