Each year, as part of the eday celebration, the UK College of Engineering invites a notable engineer to campus to discuss the role of good communication in their career. This year the college is delighted to welcome chemical engineering alumnus and renowned cancer researcher Dr Mark Davis to speak at a free lunch on 2/22/ 13 at 11:30 am in the Ralph G. Anderson Student Commons. Motivated by his own wife’s struggle with cancer, Dr Davis made a dramatic turn at mid-career from engineering solutions for the oil industry to engineering better cancer treatments. His research in nano-medicine is leading to new drug delivery systems that minimize the side effects of chemotherapy. Everyone in the College of Engineering is invited to attend the free lunch and lecture. Contact Emily Dotson at 323-2645 or ead@uky.edu for more information.
