I have known Dr. Naser since I was an undergrad. student in Sharif Univ. of Tech. in Tehran, Iran.
I read his good books in Electrical Machines and Electromagnetics. His impact on me is that I like to be like him, academically strong in Emag+Electric Machines. Now I am finishing my PhD in Emag in Northeastern Univ., Boston, MA. And I am in a direction which I learnt from Dr. Naser. We all owe to the Scientists like him.

I had the great pleasure of being Syed’s editor on several very successful books with Macmillan Publishing and a work at Cambridge. Syed was also one of our very valued Series Editors. As a gentleman, a scholar, and a friend one could not hope for better than Syed. Additionally, and indicative of his kindness, Syed never failed to ask after my father even though he taught at Indiana University a great basketball rival of Kentucky ! Syed will be sorely missed. Nasar Bhai as I have known my uncles and aunts call him, was a very humble and compassionae person. I met him in Makkah Saudi Arabia once when he came for Umra to visit us when my Family was there. May Allah give Sabr to Sara Khala Sajida and Naheed Baji.

Indeed a very very great person. He was humble even with all his achievements, and never hesitated to help others in anyway he could.

I was honored to know him and may Allah(SWT) grant him highest honor in Jannat-al-Firdos.

He will be greatly missed, indeed.

Nasar Bhai Sara bhabhi’s death has closed a chapter of life for us. May Allah (swt) grant them the highest place in jennah for there good deeds and forgive them ,Ameen. June,1983 we moved to a small town Somerset 75 miles away from Lexingtn. Eid day came and we could not tell our two year old daughter that we have no place to go.Having no friends or relatives we went to Lexington for prayers. There we met this humble and hospitable couple. From there on they helped us settle down in this area. Their kindness and generosity will always be remembered in our hearts.

I admired and respected him and later we became friends and had lots of good times I was only ten when he got married to my aunt Sara Khala I danced at the ceremony he always remembered that and teased me. He will be greatly missed.
