The American Society of Mechanical Engineers International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition kicked off Friday morning at the Hyatt Regency Denver and Colorado Convention Center and will run through November 17. Many of our mechanical engineering faculty will be in attendance, along with renowned researchers and engineers in the field from all over the world. The conference will feature keynote speakers, student design competitions and industry and vendor exhibits. This year’s focus is on “Energy and Water Scarcity.”
The conference’s website describes the 2011 Congress as “a premier global conference that focuses on today’s technical challenges, research updates and breakthrough innovations that are shaping the future of engineering. The Congress convenes engineers, scientists and technologists of all disciplines for the purposes of exploring solutions to global challenges and for the advancement of engineering excellence worldwide.”
