Dr. Meikang Qiu, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was given the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Transaction Best Paper Award at an international IEEE/ACM Design Automation Conference held in San Diego, CA June 5-9. The honor acknowledges the best paper published in the ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems journal between the April 2008 and January 2011 issues.
Dr. Qiu’s paper, titled: “Cost Minimization While Satisfying Hard/Soft Timing Constraints for Heterogenous Embedded Systems,” was published in April, 2009. Dr. Edwin Sha of the University of Texas at Dallas also contributed.
Dr. Qiu has also won three other IEEE/ACM international conferences in the area of embedded systems in the last two years.
