Austin Lovan, ME ’11, College of Engineering Co-op student and future NASA employee was among a group of people at the Johnson Space Center who worked on Robotnaut 2. Delivered by Space Shuttle Discovery on its last flight, Robonaut 2, or R2, is a humanoid robot that will perform useful work on the International Space Station.

“It has been extraordinary working on this project and gratifying to know that R2 is now orbiting the earth at 17,200 MPH aboard the International Space Station,” says Lovan.
