The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded the largest single EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant for the study of nanotechnology to the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Eric Grulke, professor of chemical engineering and associate dean for research and graduate studies, is a co-principal investigator.
