Hey Katie, way to go. I am glad that you are finding all those opportunities in the interesting field of Mining. Am from Zambia and recently graduated from the Copperbelt University as the first female Mining Engineer to be produced by my University. It was an exciting experience the whole way through and Mining is indeed my passion.
I am not working yet and this saddens me. I feel companies as well as the Government down here aren't doing enough to encourage female participation in this field. We need organisations such as the Women in Mining to encourage our fellow female friends in this field as well as talk to Mining companies about being equal opportunity employers.
I wish you all the best in your studies:-)
