The Department of Mechanical Engineering has 38 faculty members, including:

- 2 Adjunct Professors
- 1 Joint Appointment (primary department not ME)
STUDENTS
The department has an outstanding student body intellectually prepared to handle the rigors of study in an academically challenging major. The majority of our students are Kentucky residents. The department embraces diversity and strives to achieve it within our faculty, staff and student body.
Nearly 100 individuals receive their bachelors degree each year and while most go out into the world to begin their professional experience, many choose to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Kentucky or other highly respected graduate schools. Over the past five years, 122 masters and 35 doctoral degrees have been awarded. All graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of a professional engineering career.
