New UK Science Library Update
This past spring and summer three UK campus libraries have been busy getting ready to consolidate into the new Science Library. This includes Chemistry/Physics, Geological Sciences and Map Library and the Math Library. All three facilities are being consolidated into one collection in King Library - South.
The Geological Sciences and Map Library will stay in their current location, but elements of the other two libraries will be moving in on their floor, as well as the second and fourth floors. One of the major renovations is getting the new elevator installed. This should hopefully be completed by the end of the month.
In November, the Chemistry/Physics and Math libraries plan to begin moving their collections into King. At this time there is no set date as the elevator must be completed prior to the move. The Science Library will be open in November and completely operational in the Spring 2009 semester.
