Pringles Mailing Contest

General Information

The objective of this contest is to successfully mail one Pringle potato chip without it breaking. Participants may mail Pringles to KSPE anytime prior to E-Day.  The winning package will be the lightest package received in which the Pringle did not break.

Rules and judging

  1. Package must include one (1) regular unaltered Pringle potato chip; no more than one chip can be included per package.
  2. Only one entry per person.
  3. There are no size specifications; however remember that package weights will be compared to determine winner.
  4. Any non-hazardous materials may be used, or Pringle Packers®.
  5. All packages must be received no later than February 22 2012. (Wednesday before Eday)
  6. Packages must be mailed via the US Postal System (no UPS, FEDX, or equivalent; no University of Kentucky mail services, nor hand delivery) to:

      University of Kentucky
      Department of Civil Engineering
      161 Raymond Building
      Lexington, KY 40506-0281
  7. Packages must include return addresses and phone numbers, broken chips are not counted (obviously).
  8. The University of Kentucky or its employees are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
  9. Packages will be opened and inspected at 9:30 am

Contestant eligibility

This contest is open to students in K-12. Contestants will be divided into three categories: grades K-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12.
